Acadia Healthcare’s 2026 Executive Team Takes Shape
A run of appointments reshaped the top of Acadia Healthcare heading into 2026. The company named Debbie Osteen chief executive in January, with board chairman Reeve Waud making the announcement. That change followed an earlier addition on the finance side.
Together, the moves gave Acadia Healthcare a refreshed bench at the senior level.
Debbie Osteen Returns as CEO
Osteen took the chief executive role right away and returned to a job she’d held from December 2018 through March 2022. Her experience leading both Acadia Healthcare and the behavioral division at Universal Health Services made her a known quantity to the board.
Reeve Waud called her “the right person to step into the CEO role” while the board searches for a long-term successor. Her appointment anchored the leadership team.
Todd Young Joins as CFO
On the finance side, Acadia Healthcare named Todd Young chief financial officer in October 2025. That filled a key executive seat ahead of the broader leadership refresh.
Reeve Waud and the board oversaw both moves from the governance level. With a chief executive and a chief financial officer in place, Acadia Healthcare went into 2026 with its senior team reorganized and its national network of roughly 280 facilities under experienced direction.
